Janet Farley is an experienced outplacement career specialist in the job search assistance field. She worked for six years as a military transition counselor and later as a career center manager with the Army Career and Alumni Program at various locations throughout the world. She is also a freelance writer who specializes in job search advice, and the author of Jobs and the Military Spouse: Married, Mobile and Motivated for Employment, Second Edition. Farley’s advice also comes from first-hand experience: Her military spouse retired (and then later rejoined) while she was writing Military-to-Civilian Career Transition Guide, Second Edition.
Farley received her Bachelor of Science degree in business and management from the University of Maryland and a Master of Science degree in human services and human resource education from Boston University.
