Exploring Careers, Third Edition

Students research specific jobs in the Exploring Careers reference book.

Fourteen Major Sections
Each of 14 major career interest areas is covered in a main section. The main sections are organized so that students explore clues about themselves, job groups that relate to these clues, career possibilities in the job groups, and various careers. For this last step, there is a wealth of information, including job descriptions, job profiles, and skill samplers for that interest area.

Organized Information
The main sections collectively include 1,000 O*NET job descriptions based on the latest data from the U.S. Department of Labor; 49 interesting, engaging profiles of on-the-job workers through which students get a good sense of what jobs are really like; and 19 skill samplers that describe skills required in certain jobs.
