Placing an order on JIST’s website is quick and easy. New customers can check out and create an account at the same time or they can complete their order without creating an account. Once you have an account, you’ll be able you to:
- Shop and check out faster on your next visit
- Obtain a history of items you’ve purchased online
- Retain items in your “Wish List”
1. Add items to your cart
First, you will need to browse or search for the item you would like to order. Click on the item that interests you to visit its product detail page. When you’re ready to order the item, enter the number of copies you wish to purchase in the quantity box. Next, click the “continue shopping” button if you wish to order more items. Otherwise, click the “proceed to checkout” button.
2. Shopping cart
You do not have to view your entire cart before you check out, but it’s a great place to look over your order. The cart displays all of the items you have selected and lets you make adjustments. You can increase or reduce the quantity of items in your cart. The cart also provides a subtotal that includes applicable sales tax, before any shipping charges are applied. Once you’re comfortable with the items in your cart, click the “proceed to checkout” button.
3. Proceed to checkout
Returning customers can sign in to their accounts, using their e-mail address and password. New customers will need to click the “register” button to create an account.
4. Shipping and Payment
Shipping: We currently offer ground (standard), next-day, second-day, or third-day delivery for all U.S. continental orders placed on jist.com.
Payment: Select your payment method of either a credit card or purchase order and proceed to the next page. From here you will need to enter your payment details. You may also review a summary of your order and enter any comments for our customer service department. When you are ready, click “submit order” to complete the ordering process.
5. Order Confirmation
A confirmation page will display with a copy of your invoice. You may print this invoice by clicking the “print invoice” bottom at the bottom of the page. Shortly after this page displays, you will receive an e-mail confirming the details of your order.
Shipping
Ground shipments in the continental United States: Shipping and handling charges for continental U.S.—regular ground shipments only: Please add 10% of the subtotal; the minimum charge is $10.00.
Rush orders: For rush orders we offer the following delivery options:
- Next-day delivery (Please add 14% of the subtotal, plus $10.00)
- Second-day delivery (Please add 13% of the subtotal, plus $10.00)
- Third-day delivery (Please add 12% of the subtotal, plus $10.00)
Tax
For-profit companies and residents of the following states must add sales tax: Arkansas, California, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, South Dakota, Texas, Connecticut, Idaho, Missouri, New Mexico, and Washington. Sales tax is calculated by your county sales tax rate.
Not-for-profit organizations in these states must include their tax number on all orders to qualify for tax exemption.
Delivery
We work hard to see that most orders are received, processed, and out the warehouse door within 48 hours! New customers submitting credit information will take a little longer, and sometimes we’ll need to contact you to clarify billing/shipping information or products ordered. In any case, all orders are shipped ASAP via UPS Ground, exceptions noted below.
In the continental U.S. Ground shipment usually takes 3-6 business days after the shipping date. UPS Ground does not delivery to post office boxes, so please include your street address with your order.
Outside the continental U.S. We will attempt to use the carrier of your choice, provided we can trace the shipment.
Special order. A few catalog items are ordered from their manufacturer(s) only when we receive your order. Add two weeks to delivery times for these.
Payment
Web orders: We accept payment by purchase order or credit card (Visa, MasterCard, or American Express).
Phone/Fax/Mail orders: We accept payment (U.S. funds only) by check, money order, or credit card (Visa, MasterCard, or American Express). Make checks and money orders payable to JIST Publishing. If you send a purchase order after placing a phone order, please write Confirming Our Phone Order on the purchase order to avoid duplicate shipment. Terms are net 30 days, 2% per month for past-due accounts. The minimum billing amount is $50; orders for less must be prepaid. Individuals must prepay.

Prices on products are subject to change without prior notice.
Return Policy
In the event of a product defect or if you have over-ordered:
- Returns must be made in 30-45 days.
- Please enclose a copy of the packing list or invoice. We cannot process a credit to your account without the packing list or invoice copy.
- We accept returns that arrive in a condition to sell again. So pack very carefully.
- Ship prepaid FedEx Ground or UPS, or any method that provides a way for you to trace the shipment.
