Daniel J. Ryan is director of career planning and placement at the University at Buffalo, and an adjunct assistant professor of education, leadership, and policy. He also has served as an adjunct professor of counselor education, assistant dean of student services, and director of disability support services at Canisius College in Buffalo, New York.
Ryan recently won the Professional Service Award from the Association on Higher Education and Disability, where he serves as the special interest coordinator on career planning issues. He has served as the network chair for disability concerns for the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators. He has published numerous works on disabilities and careers/job searches in professional and consumer publications.
He holds a Ph.D. in education from the State University of New York, as well as a master's degree in counselor education and a bachelor's degree in political science, both from Canisius College.
